What’s the saying, “No man is an island”? As a doula who wanted to grow her business, I quickly became aware of the simple fact and reality. If I didn’t embrace it, I would quite possibly end up the same way many solo doulas end up: burnt out, and no longer doing birth work.
Why Sarah Baker?
I don’t think that Sarah and I realized we were the perfect match. It wasn’t until we took our HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator training in Toronto that we realized we were “those girls. A little disruptive, kinda funny, and had a level of enthusiasm that was, well, what’s the word – contagious.
We were dubbed the dynamic duo before we were even an official doula team. By the end of the training, we had decided that we would teach our HypnoBirthing classes together. From that moment, I don’t think we ever looked back. Everything between us grew organically.
Today, we are working diligently side by side to grow Lifetime of Love Birth Doula Services TOGETHER in the communities of Orangeville, Mississauga and Brampton.
New Doula Partnership = Doula Logo Reboot!
This new partnership was celebrated with the inaugural decision that we made together: a reboot of the old Lifetime of Love logo, to a new, more updated and fresh version. Our with the old, in with the new. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to be a team – a duo – and a dynamic one at that!
